Sharjah24: The Sharjah Sports Council, under the motto "Commit to Safety," took part in a campaign to prevent accidental drownings in swimming pools on Tuesday, August 22nd, organised by the Sharjah Prevention and Safety Authority.
The Mleiha, Dibba Al-Hisn, and Al Madam clubs' swimming pools were all inspected as part of the programme. Instructions, equipment, and protocols for ensuring worker safety were examined.
Engineer Muhammad Tarik, Head of the Project Execution Division at the Sports Facilities Monitoring Department in the Council's Support Services Directorate, was there, along with other Council officials, club representatives, and pool and safety staff.
The Council's Director of Support Services, Nabil Mohammed Ashour, emphasised the significance of these periodic awareness efforts coordinated with the Prevention and Safety Authority.
He went on to say that this drive is part of a larger initiative to inspect swimming pools and other potentially hazardous areas at a number of clubs in the emirate.
