SPSA graduates occupational trainers in Sharjah

Sharjah24: Sharjah Prevention and Safety Authority (SPSA ), along with the University of Sharjah, celebrated the graduation of the third batch of the Professional Diploma program for Occupational Safety and Health. This program was implemented by the Center for Continuing Education and Professional Development at the university.
In a ceremony held at the university headquarters, 25 graduates, both male and female, were honoured. The event was attended by His Excellency Sheikh Eng. Khalid bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Prevention and Safety Authority (SPSA), His Excellency Sheikh Saif bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Director of the Prevention and Safety Authority, Prof. Youssef Al Haik, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, and Professor Dr. Radi Al-Zubaidi, the Director of the Center for Continuing Education and Professional Development at the university.

His Excellency Sheikh Khaled bin Saqr Al Qasimi congratulated the participants of the Professional Diploma program on their graduation, urging them to become ambassadors of safety in their respective institutions. He emphasised that the diploma they have achieved supports the goals of the Authority, which aim to prepare the necessary human technical competencies for operating and managing safety systems, as well as facing risks to ensure public safety. 
On his part, His Excellency Sheikh Saif bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, highlighted that the Authority constantly strives to achieve the best and introduce awareness programs that enhance safety measures. He stated that the Professional Diploma is one of the milestones of the Authority in fulfilling its vision and strategic objectives, aiming to enhance the human and technical capabilities of the Emirate of Sharjah and implement globally recognised safety and prevention standards to ensure the protection of the community, lives, and properties.

The Authority launched the Professional Diploma for Occupational Health and Safety Trainers with the aim of training employees of the Sharjah Government in the field of occupational safety and health. This program seeks to achieve seven main objectives, including enriching the participants' knowledge with modern training concepts, developing their skills and capabilities in preparing and implementing relevant training programs, and familiarising them with the fundamentals of occupational safety and health and risk management.
