SEWA launches first edition of Conservation Camp

Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) launched the first edition of the SEWA Conversation Camp (Engineer of the Future), which runs from August 7 to August 17 for the age group from 11 to 13 years.
40 aspiring participants attend the first edition of the camp, taking advantage of this opportunity to develop themselves and discover their potential. 

The SEWA seeks to make the camp an exciting and beneficial experience for all participants, in implementation of the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, of spreading awareness and achieving sustainable development in all sectors.

Rashid Al Marzouqi, Assistant Director of the Conservation Department at the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA), explained that the first day of the camp included receiving the participants, introducing them to the programme, and holding a scientific workshop on conservation, an entertaining tour of the Archaeology Museum, along with activities and competitions, indicating that the camp programme lasts for 11 days.

It will include a variety of surprises and recreational, cultural and educational activities, and it will include 4 hours per day from 10 am to 2 pm.

It will also include an introduction to the goals of SEWA and its efforts, and the Young Engineer Programme that will be launched during the camp activities, and how to obtain the title by presenting an innovative project on conservation. 

He stressed that the SEWA is keen to promote positive values and develop the skills of all segments of society through programmes and initiatives that contribute to creating an interactive environment that contributes to the development of their capabilities to prepare a generation aware of the importance of energy and its role in the development of society.
