Sharjah 24: A coordination meeting was held, on Thursday, between Al Khalidiyah Suburb Council, affiliated to the Sharjah Districts and Villages Affairs Department, and the Public Parking Department of Sharjah Municipality (SM).
This meeting came with the aim of improving the services of public parking within the suburb, at the council's headquarters in Sharjah.
The meeting was chaired by His Excellency Khalfan Saeed Al Marri, Chairman of Al Khalidiyah Suburb Council, and was attended by the Vice-Chairman of the Council, Mohammed Rashid bin Jarash, in addition to members of the council, Thani Hazeem Al Suwaidi, Hamad Mohammed Al Sari, and Khamis Ali Al Humairi. Imran Al Hammadi also attended the meeting.
On the part of the Public Parking Department of SM, Hamed Hassan Al Qaed, Director of the Department, Khaled Abdullah Al Hammadi, Head of the Parking Services Department, and Bader Mohammed Al Hammadi, Head of the Parking Inspection Department, participated in the meeting.
The meeting came in the context of following up the negative phenomena related to parking in the suburb, during which proposals were presented by the Public Parking Department to address these phenomena and improve services.
It is expected that work will be done to implement the recommendations taken during the coming weeks.
At the end of the meeting, His Excellency Khalfan Saeed Al Marri, Chairman of Al Khalidiyah Suburb Council, thanked the attendees from the Parking Department of SM for their presence and participation in the meeting.
He appreciated their efforts in presenting proposals and recommendations aimed at improving the services provided to the suburb and its residents, and promoting the use of parking spaces in an effective and orderly manner.
