Sharjah 24: Al Khalidiyah Suburb Council, under the Sharjah Districts and Villages Affairs Department, successfully concluded its annual "Holy Quran Recitation” event. The ceremony took place, on Monday, at the council’s headquarters in Sharjah.
The purpose of the event was to recognise and commend the winners of the "Holy Quran Recitation" competition, which has been running for seven years. The competition was organised in collaboration with the Manar Al Sabeel Centre for Holy Quran Memorisation and generously sponsored by Alghanim Real Estate.
This year's edition stood out by honouring fifty-five talented individuals, both boys and girls from Al Khalidiyah Suburb, who participated in the various categories and demonstrated their proficiency in memorising sections of the Holy Quran.
A substantial total of AED 84,500 in cash prizes was awarded to the participants and competitors, thanks to the generous sponsorship provided by Alghanim Real Estate.
The Chairman of Al Khalidiyah Suburb Council, Khalfan Saeed Al Marri, accompanied by Saeed Ghanem Al Suwaidi, the Executive Director of Alghanim Real Estate, presided over the ceremony and personally bestowed honours upon the competition winners at the council's headquarters.
Furthermore, the council expressed its appreciation to parents who had multiple children achieve success in the competition. The remaining participants in the competition, a total of 41 students, were also acknowledged and granted cash prizes.
