Sharjah24: Through the "Let's Reach them" initiative, which was started two years ago, the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) is continuing its efforts to provide exceptional services for elderly people in Sharjah who have special medical needs.
The initiative was launches in collaboration with Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) in order to give these members priority in receiving electricity services and to ensure providing services by giving them access to mobile devices.

Dr. Eng. Hassan Al Zarooni, Director of the Electricity Distribution Department at the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority, confirmed that this initiative comes within the framework of the authority's commitment to providing services to elderly, and reflects its societal role in cooperation SSSD. 

He pointed out that the initiative targets subscribers with special medical needs in the city of Sharjah, as subscribers from this category were counted through the Department of Social Services, putting distinctive signs on their homes and electricity boxes, and establishing a database for them to facilitate the provision of electricity-related services.

He added that the initiative has so far benefited 57 people with medical needs in Sharjah, and that there are plans to expand it to cover the rest of the emirate, starting with the central region and then the eastern region.
