Sharjah24 - The Diabetes and Endocrinology Clinic has been established at Kuwait Hospital in Sharjah, part of Emirates Healthcare Services, to serve Sharjah and the neighbouring areas.

Afrah Salem, Director of Kuwait Hospital in Sharjah, stated that the Diabetes and Endocrinology Clinic enhances medical and therapeutic services. The clinic meets patients twice a week and offers high-quality diabetes and endocrine care in Sharjah and the surrounding areas.

Diabetes is a major issue for society and healthcare systems due to the public health risks it poses. Diabetes prevention and endocrine patient care are important priorities for Emirates Healthcare Services.

Endocrinology and diabetes expert Dr Amr Hazem of Kuwait Hospital in Sharjah said the clinic will see patients twice a week for type 1 and type 2 diabetes care, including challenging and unstable cases.

The clinic also diagnoses and treats thyroid issues, reproductive endocrine diseases, pituitary gland disorders, and adrenal gland abnormalities in addition to hormone replacement therapy.
