Sharjah 24: Al Khalidiyah Suburb Council affiliated with the Department of Suburbs and Villages Affairs continued to organise its initiative for the third consecutive year, titled "Mother's Day Initiative for Deceased Mothers".
The initiative is the first of its kind at the level of the suburb councils within its community initiatives, which is concerned with digging water wells as an ongoing charity for the deceased mothers of the suburb’s residents through the Sharjah Charity International, in honor and celebration of Mother’s Day for the year 2023 and in the interest of the council to continue community activities for the people.
Am AED 10,000 was presented to the SCI to carry out the project in the presence of Khalfan Saeed Al-Marri, Chairman of the Al Khalidiyah Suburb Council, and other officials from both sides.
The initiative comes in the context of the Council's vision to highlight the role of the mother and show gratitude to her, and to honour her great position and role in building a good family, and to show her efforts in raising and upbringing for generations that contribute to serving the country, glorifying its achievements and raising its flag.
Khalfan Saeed Al-Marri, Chairman of the Al-Khalidiyah Suburb Council, expressed his appreciation and praise to all mothers for building generations and for their contribution to family building and the country.
