During the meeting, held at the council headquarters, both sides discussed the council's close social role with families and children enrollment in SEA institutions and programmes.
The meeting was attended by Youssef Obaid Harmoul Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Council, and Hareb Mohammed Hareb Al Rumaithi, Vice President of the council, in addition to Mohammed Saud Harmoul Al Shamsi and Abdul Rahman Al Yasi, council employees.
Mariam Jaber Al Shamsi, Director of the Childhood Department at SEA; Hessa Al Awadi, Head of the Follow-up and Guidance Department, and Saleha Al Ketbi, Administrative Coordinator, attended the event.
Youssef Obaid Harmoul Al Shamsi, Chairman of Al Suyoh Suburb Council, stressed the Council's keenness to strengthen cooperation with educational institutions whose efforts and roles are related to the people of the suburb, particularly Sharjah Education Academy.
He pointed that the council, in the meeting, discussed areas of cooperation with SEA to achieve common goals aiming at supporting the needs of parents in terms of educational opportunities for young people through the available services.
Mariam Al Shamsi, confirmed that SEA is keen to upgrade educational services that constitute an urgent need for the community and to listen to the suburb needs whereas it represents a large segment of the community members.
During the meeting, mechanisms for enrolling students in nurseries were discussed, in addition to discussing a number of priorities for students. The meeting also discussed organising workshops for children to be hosted by the Council, and to implement the goals set by Sharjah Education Academy.
