Sharjah Police: Citizen died in severe accident in Wadi Al Helo

Colonel Dr. Ali Al-Kay Al-Hamoudi, Director of the Eastern Region Police Department, explained in detail how the operations room had been informed of a run-over accident that had happened on the public road in the Wadi Al Helo neighborhood of Kalba. As a result, police patrols and the national ambulance moved to the scene of the accident. The victim was then rushed to the hospital, but his terrible injuries caused him to pass away.

Investigations into the accident revealed that the deceased, a 38-year-old municipality worker from the city of Kalba, was performing his work duties when he was hit by a vehicle driving at high speed collided with a vehicle belonging to the municipality, and the latter collided with the driver of the parked vehicle, without being able to avoid the accident, and he suffered severe injuries that led to death.

In addition, the Eastern Region Police Department's director revealed that the driver acknowledged having fallen asleep while driving, which led to him losing control of the car and getting into the accident. As a result, the driver was submitted to the Public Prosecution for possible legal action.

Colonel Dr. Ali Al -Kay Al-Hamoudi expressed his sincere condolences to the family of the deceased, urging drivers to adhere to traffic rules and speed limits on external roads, noting that if the driver feels tired and exhausted, he must stop in a safe traffic area in order to preserve his safety and the safety of road users.
