Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Department of Public Works (SDPW) has completed construction of a public park in the Al Saf residential complex in Kalba.
Engineer Abdullah Al Tunaiji, Director of the Branches Department, stated that the park construction and the installation of rubberised walking tracks were carried out in response to the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to create a public park in the new Al Saf area to serve as a recreational area for residents.
Engineer Bashayer Al Mansoori, Director of the SDPW’s Branch in Kalba, said that these projects are aimed at enhancing cooperation between the municipal councils of Sharjah's cities and government departments to meet their needs and to coordinate regularly to address common issues.
The park covers a total area of approximately 10,000 square metres and includes two playgrounds for children with a total area of 1115 square metres, one with a rubberised floor and the other with a sandy floor to suit all tastes. Additionally, there are 43 outdoor seating areas for families, a 312-metre-long rubberised jogging trail with a three-metre width, a central water fountain, a fenced football field, paved pathways covering an area of 4,000 square metres, and more.
