Majid Issa Huraimel Al Shamsi, Director of the General Department of Institutional Support Services at SEWA, confirmed that the SEWGA is keen to develop the procurement and supply system whereas it represents an important pillar in preserving financial resources and achieving sustainability, indicating that the SEWGA received an accredited certificate in procurement and supply practices from the largest international professional body after a detailed evaluation of SEWGA practices and processes of supply and procurement, according to international standards of excellence.
Hadef Sultan Al Saleh Al Tunaiji, Director of the Procurement and Contracts Department at SEWA, explained that the evaluation process, that took place before receiving the accreditation certificate, showed high levels of excellence in SEWGA procurement and supply chain practices and activities, continuous improvements in the supply system, the diversity of SEWA supplier network, efficient relationships with suppliers, ability to mitigate risks, reliance on sustainable procurement, and highlighting the role of procurement as an essential element in SEWGA strategy and growth.
