Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Club handball team won the UAE Men’s Handball League title for the seventh time in a row and the 17th in its history, after beating Al Jazira 32-30 in the final round of the championship, played Saturday evening, at the Sharjah Club Hall.
Issa Hilal, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, crowned the champion team in the presence of Nabil Ashour, President of the UAE Handball Federation, Mohammed Obaid Al Hossan, member of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Sports Club, head of the Team Games Department, and members of the Handball Federation and Sharjah Club.
Al Hossan dedicated the achievement to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, his two deputies and his wife, in appreciation of the great role and unlimited support they provide to the club and the players.
Al Hossan praised the efforts of the Sharjah Sports Club work system, including members of the Supreme Board of Directors and members of the Team Games Department, sports teams, players, technical, administrative and medical apparatus, and the great support of the Sharjah Sports Council.
