Sharjah24: Sharjah Media City "Shams" has been working to promote creativity with a clear vision that keeps pace with Sharjah’s and UAE’s cultural and civilisational roles since its inception. This is a path in which "Shams" succeeded by investing in the human factor, representing the mass core of creativity across the ages.
"Shams" adopted an approach by farming talents capable of altering the creative industries, believing that talent is the regulator that makes the difference, representing authentic Arab values and principles to open the gates to new opportunities for prosperity in creative industries locally and regionally.

Shams’ vision manifested in launching the script room "Hekaya" initiative to scout talents and allow them to develop their writing skills and content writing.

Over a year, the "Hekaya" script room produced over 100 scriptwriters.

Dr. Khaled Omar Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Media City "Shams", stated that Shams believes talent is the key to the prosperity of all fields, especially the creative field. Talent, after being refined, can present creative works that shape heritage, culture, and civilisation. Shams came up with "Hekaya" to introduce a new vision in script writing and content creation, the basis for any artwork.

The workshops were given by Emirati screenwriter Mohamed Hassan Ahmed and his team to transform ideas into ready-made scenarios and use them in theatre and motion pictures.

In 2022, the workshops trained more than 100 trainees, 27 became professional screenwriters and 10. During the workshops, The trainees managed to write scripts for three tv series,  a total of 23 episodes.
