Sharjah24: The Sharjah International Marine Sports Club (SIMS) launched, for the third year in a row, an initiative to distribute Iftar meals to taxi drivers and members of the public, coinciding with Zayed Humanitarian Work Day, which falls on the 19th of Ramadan.
The Director General of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, Ahmed Al Hosani affirmed that the Zayed Humanitarian Work Day embodies the process of giving and the approach established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan "May Allah rest his soul in peace", thanks to which the UAE has become an icon of giving and generosity.
Underscoring the SIMS’ role in adopting various initiatives and events that enhance social responsibility, involving all segments of the society, Al Hosani stressed that Zayed Humanitarian Work Day represents the noble values pursued by the UAE society.
