Sharjah24: Sharjah’s Department of Endowments (Awqaf) Launched a community Initiative to commemorate Zayed Humanitarian Day on 19th Ramadan, distributing Iftar meals to workers.
The initiative, which was registered through the Sharjah Volunteering Center platform, witnessed great participation from various groups of volunteers. This comes as part of a series of community initiatives carried out annually by the department during the blessed month of Ramadan.
Commenting on this, His Excellency Talib Ibrahim Al Marri, Director General of the Department of Endowments in Sharjah, stated that the department annually commemorates this dear occasion to our hearts as a tribute to the founding leader Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who instilled in the people of the UAE and its leadership the values of sacrifice and giving, and contributed to promoting the values of compassion, humanity, solidarity, and social cohesion, leading the UAE to become a global humanitarian leader that the world recognises.
