Sharjah 24 – WAM: General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments (Awqaf) celebrated the new Hijri year at the Armed Forces Officers Club and Hotel.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Muhammad Matar Al Kaabi, Awqaf's Chairman; Mohammed Saeed Al Neyadi, Awqaf's Director-General; in addition to a number of Awqaf's executive directors, officials and employees, imams and general public.
On the occasion of the new Hijri year, Awqaf extended its sincere congratulations to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rules of the Emirates, the UAE's people and residents, the Islamic world and the rest of the world.
