Sharjah 24: The World Health Organisation celebrates World Health Day on the seventh of April, under the theme "Health for All", which highlights "Looking back at the successes achieved in the field of public health", as part of its endeavour to highlight the efforts of the authorities in the field of care and the provision of health services for individuals during the year 2022 AD.
The Health Promotion Department of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah succeeded in supporting and promoting health through great qualitative achievements during the year 2022, by adopting a strategy that strengthened the efforts of the health system in the Emirate of Sharjah, and the country. The health awareness programme benefited 10,766 individuals over the course of 113 educational sessions during which 403 nutritional consultations were provided, 16 electronic brochures were published in both Arabic and English, in addition to 79 interactive educational films and 701 social publications, and took part in celebration of 77 International Days.

Iman Rashid Saif, Director of the Health Promotion Department at the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, said that the country's celebration of "World Health Day" stems from the belief of the wise country's leadership in the status of the human being as the most precious wealth and the basis for development and its engine to put the health and safety of society at the forefront of its priorities.

She indicated that the Emirate of Sharjah is keen to provide a role model in the region and the world in terms of interest in the health sector, and work to provide comprehensive health coverage for all residents of the emirate, in accordance with the wise vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

Saif confirmed that the Health Promotion Department, since its inception, has been contributing through its various programmes and initiatives launched with the support and encouragement of the wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, in promoting the Emirate's efforts to raise health awareness and encourage community members to follow healthy habits that preserve their well-being and safety.
