Sharjah24: The Health Promotion Department (HPD) of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah concluded its participation in the Sharjah Heritage Days, organised by the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, held in the Heart of Sharjah.

The department reviewed its nutritional counseling programme, which provides free health consultations and a diet for each registered individual according to his or her daily needs.

The crowd was briefed on the Crescent of Health campaign, intended to launch during Ramadan to promote healthy habits. It also presented interactive competitions on stage for children that included various questions about public health and how to prevent diseases by spreading health awareness among them.

The health-supporting associations of the HPD, represented by the Breastfeeding Friends, Friends of Kidney Patients, Friends of Arthritis Patients, and Friends of Diabetes, also participated by introducing their eminent programmes to educate the public and protect them from various diseases.
