Sharjah 24: Sheikh Dr. Salem Al Doubi, Head of the Preaching Section at the Islamic Affairs Department in Sharjah, emphasised that there is a secret in fasting, rarely found in other acts of worship.
Al Doubi explained that the secret lies in Allah Almighty’s words: "There is no good deed that the son of Adam does, but between ten and seven hundred Hasanahs will be recorded for him, except fasing, for it is for me and I shall reward for it. He gives up his desires and his food for my sake.
When the Muslim fasts, he senses Allah’s greatness, as He watches him from above the seven heavens. This is the greatest lesson that the fasting person can learn. It is Ihsan, the highest form of worship.
Dr. Al Doubi’s statement came during the third episode of “Ramadan Sermons” programme, broadcasts on “Sharjah 24” website and social media platforms on Friday, Saturday and Sunday of every week, during the holy month of Ramadan.
