SSSD marks Emirati Children's Day

Sharjah24: Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) has launched a variety of programs, events, and competitions on the Emirati Children's Day .
The activities were attended by a large number of children of the centers , as these activities focused on two programmes, the National Identity and Child Rights which aimed at introducing child to his rights. 

Maryam Ibrahim Al-Qasir, Director of the Department of Social Education in the department highlighted the importance of instilling social values and national identity, underscoring the need to inform children of their rights, including their right to learn and play, as well as to participate in useful community activities and programs, and their right to justice, equality, non-discrimination, care, protection from abuse, special care if people of determination, protection from exploitation, their right to healthy life , and the right to survive and thrive in the care of a cohesive family.

Al-Qasir added that the programs were presented by social educators in the various branches of the department also in the Sharjah Private School, and the event was implemented in the Sharjah Private Education Authority, and a dialogue session was implemented in Expo Sharjah for the public and parents of students in order to raise awareness of the importance of polishing the creativity of the child on Emirati Children's Day.
