Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Club men's handball team won the bronze medal in the 39th edition of the GCC Handball Clubs Cup Championship, after defeating the Qatari Al Arabi team 32-29 in the placement match that brought the two teams together, on Friday, on the closing day of the tournament at Khalifa City Sports Hall in Bahrain.
Sharjah was crowned with bronze and third place, for the first time in the history of the club, as it is the best position for the team during 7 participations of the King in the GCC Handball Clubs Cup Championship, which it previously hosted the 29th Gulf Handball Cup in 2009.

Sharjah player Ahmed Abdullah also won the best player award in the Sharjah – Al Arabi match.

With this result, Sharjah adds the Gulf bronze medal to its record of foreign achievements, as it previously won the UAE-Bahraini Super Cup 2019, and won two bronze medals in a row in the Asian Champion Club Tournament in the same year.
