Sharjah 24: The Sharjah men's handball team played a friendly match with the Omani Ahli Sidab team, Friday evening, at the Sharjah Sports Club hall. The meeting is part of the two teams' preparations for the 39th edition of the GCC Handball Clubs Cup Championship, which is hosted by the Bahraini Al Najma Club in the Kingdom of Bahrain from 8 to March 17, where the match ended with Sharjah winning (35-24).
Within the preparations for the 39th Championship, the Group Games Department at Sharjah Sports Club succeeded in contracting with Qatari international Mahmoud Ahmed Zaki, player of the Qatari handball team, Al-Gharafa Club, to strengthen the ranks of the King’s players in the Championship.
The Sharjah players will conclude the closed indoor camp, in preparation for the Gulf Clubs Championship, on March 6, which includes a training programme during which they will meet the Ahli Sidab team for the second time.
