Sharjah Police concludes "Safe Tourism" campaign

Colonel Dr. Ali Al-Kay Al-Hamoudi, Director of the Eastern Region Police Department, revealed the success of the campaign in achieving its goals of spreading security awareness, achieving the highest standards of security and safety, and creating a sense of security and reassurance among visitors to the cities of the Eastern Region, Kalba, Khorfakkan and Dibba Al-Hisn.
Colonel Dr. Al-Hamoudi stated that the campaign, which was launched in December of last year, aimed to educate the public and tourists about safe tourism and focused on intensifying security efforts to serve visitors by strengthening the security , organizing traffic on the roads and providing a safe tourist environment that enhances the sense of security. He appreciated the efforts of the partners and collaborators in the campaign and their positive role, which had an impact on the success of the campaign and reaching the desired goals.

During the closing ceremony, Major Abdullah Ahmed Al Shehhi, head of the Tourism Campaign in Safety and Security, gave a presentation on the campaign program and its positive results in achieving the goals represented in spreading security awareness within the tourist areas in all cities of the Eastern Region to reach the largest segment of society. 

He pointed out that the campaign program included educating tourists about wrong practices while driving during the rainy season, or when entering floods and valleys, in addition to educating mountain and sea sports practitioners to adhere to security and safety requirements.

At the end of the ceremony, the Director of the Eastern Region Police Department honored the efforts of the partners and volunteers in a safe and secure tourism campaign and their active participation, which resulted in the success of the campaign, stressing that the honoring comes within the framework of the constant keenness of the Sharjah Police General Command to honor its partners and collaborators in enhancing security and safety.
