Dr Noor Al Muhairi, Director of the Mental Health Department, and Dr Ammar Humid Al Banna, Director of Al Amal Psychiatric Hospital, greeted the group, together with a team of expert medical and administrative workers.
During a field trip, the team learnt about the hospital's sophisticated services and integrated mental health models, which serve as national benchmarks. The discussions also included referral channels, training program creation, prisoner psychological assistance, rehabilitation, and community reintegration.
Dr Noor Al Muhairi confirmed Al Amal Hospital's significant role in the national mental health system. She emphasised that engagement with critical partners, such as the Sharjah Police, represents the institution's goal of developing sustainable and inclusive healthcare solutions.
Dr Ammar Humid Al Banna expressed delight in the faith that partners have placed in the hospital's experience, stating that such collaborations contribute to the establishment of a holistic mental healthcare model that combines treatment, prevention, and rehabilitation, therefore improving community welfare and safety.
The visit concluded, with both parties emphasising the significance of continued coordination and the implementation of collaborative projects.
