Sharjah24: The Arab Parliament for the Child (APC), one of the institutions affiliated with the Arab League, and the Sharjah Centre for Voluntary Work (SCVW) of the Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD), signed a joint cooperation agreement with the aim of strengthening cooperation and promoting the bilateral goals in the areas of benefiting from and developing volunteer opportunities, during the APC’s next sessions, being held in the United Arab Emirates.
The signing ceremony took place at the headquarters of the Arab Parliament for the Child in the city of Sharjah, which was signed by His Excellency Ayman Othman Al-Barout, Secretary-General of the Arab Parliament, and Hessa Al Hammadi, Director of the Department of Community Cohesion in the Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD), in the presence of Sheikha Rawda bint Ahmed Al Qasimi, executive relations and research at the Department of Government Relations in Sharjah, and a number of cadres of Parliament and the SSSD.
The memorandum of understanding aims to consolidate bilateral relations between the two sides and enhance coordination and continuous cooperation in various aspects of community and volunteering works, achieving common goals by spreading the culture of volunteer work and benefiting from the experiences of volunteer teams during the Parliament’s coming sessions that will host several Arab children, welcoming them in the smiling emirate of Sharjah.
The signed agreement promotes cooperation between the Arab Parliament for the Child and the Sharjah Center for Voluntary Work of the Sharjah Social Services Department, enhancing the voluntary opportunities and initiatives during the parliament’s work, through encouraging various voluntary activities and appreciating the volunteers.
Commenting on this, His Excellency Ayman Othman Al-Barout stressed the importance of the joint cooperation agreement that brings the parliament together with the Sharjah Center for Voluntary Work of the Sharjah Social Services Department, being one of the most vital centers in the Emirate of Sharjah.
Hessa Al Hammadi, Director of the Department of Community Cohesion in the Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) has highlighted the significance of this agreement in enhancing the exchange of experiences, coordinating joint efforts, and providing various experiences from volunteer cadres to support the Arab Parliament.
