Sharjah24: The 11th chess championship for government agencies will kick off on Sunday evening, organised by the Sharjah Government Employees Club in cooperation with the Sharjah Cultural Chess Club, with the participation of 60 players representing government departments in Sharjah.

60 players representing various agencies in Sharjah will participate in the tournament.

Dr. Tariq Sultan bin Khadim, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Sharjah Government Employees Club, confirmed that the championship's successes in previous editions attracted many others from all government institutions in Sharjah.

He pointed out that the tournament in its current version comes is part of programmes organised by the Sharjah Government Employees Club in order to strengthen the bond between Sharjah employees and create an entertainment destination for Sharjah government employees.
