Sheikh Saud bin Sultan inaugurates Al Batayeh Cycle Path

Sharjah24: In implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to establish a path for cycling in the Emirate of Sharjah, Sheikh Saud bin Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director of the Sharjah Digital Office, inaugurated on Wenesday, Al Batayeh Cycle Path.
Al Batayeh Cycle Path was built in the Central Region of the Emirate of Sharjah covering 24 kilometers, 48 kilometers back and forth, with a total width of 5 meters. 

The inauguration was attended by His Excellency the Counselor Eng. Salah bin Butti Al Muhairi, Chairman of the Initiatives Implementation Authority; His Excellency Engineer Khalid bin Butti Al Muhairi, Head of the Department of Town Planning and Survey; His Excellency Eng. Youssef Khamis Al Othmani, Chairman of the Roads and Transport Authority in the Emirate of Sharjah; His Excellency Mohamed Hassan Khalaf, Director General of the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority ; His Excellency Issa Hilal, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council and his deputy, His Excellency Abdul Malik Jani; His Excellency Mansour Bouassiba, President of the Emirates Cycling Federation; and His Excellency Yasser Al Dokhi, Secretary General of the Emirates Cycling Federation.

The Path is a distinguished tourist and sports destination for athletes, as it was designed and implemented under the supervision of the Initiatives Implementation Authority, in cooperation with the Department of town Planning and Survey and the Roads and Transport Authority in the Emirate of Sharjah.

The Path includes (4) restrooms at the beginning and end, and two restrooms, in addition to restrooms and an open Musala, as more services are being prepared to implement such as a bicycle rental and maintenance center, restaurants and various additional services.

There is a future plan to develop the project as a second phase by adding more tracks and supporting it with more services and activities, in addition to implementing tracks in other areas.
