Sharjah24: The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry SCCI, the Al Bataeh Municipal Council, and Al-Bataeh Municipality announced in a press conference the activities of the "Al Bataeh Folk Festival 5", from Thursday, January 12 to January 27, 2023, with the participation of 60 projects from productive families, handicrafts and traditional industries, and 25 government agencies.
Mohammed Ahmed Al Awadi, Director General of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, confirmed during a press conference, held at the chamber headquarters, that the Chamber is keen to support the Al Bataeh Folk Festival in its 5th edition for its role in supporting the economy and contributing to the service of productive families businesses.

He explained that the festival will have various activities with the participation of government and private entities.

Mohammed Abdullah bin Halis Al Ketbi, Head of Al Bataeh Municipal Council, indicated that the festival would provide temporary jobs during the festival period for the people of the region, to provide them with practical experience and hone their skills. There will also be several humanitarian initiatives in cooperation with The Big Heart Foundation, social, educational, cultural and voluntary initiatives, Emirati folklore, and traditional arts.

Abdullah Sultan bin Saluma Al Ketbi, Director of Al Bataeh Municipality, revealed that the 5th edition of Al Bataeh Folk Festival will have numerous activities that serve members of society, with the participation of government and private institutions along with productive families.

Al Ketbi explained that he festival aims to support the productive families sector in the Al Bataeh area. The activities of the participating shops vary from traditional Emirati food to handicrafts, such as making perfumes and traditional clothes, planning to make the Al Bataeh area a center for traditional industries.
