Sharjah24: The Financial, Economic, and Industrial Affairs Committee of the Sharjah Consultative Council discussed a draft law on the general budget of Sharjah government for 2023, after the Chairman of the Council referred the draft law to the committee for discussion that will be held on December 22. December.
The meeting was attended by Waleed Al Sayegh, Director General of Sharjah Finance Department, and his assistants from the department.
The committee members reviewed the budget and discussed its items for 2023. In addition, they reviewed the figures contained therein from the central and decentralised agencies and listened to an explanation by the financial department of what was stated therein.
Al Sayegh presented a detailed explanation about the budget, reviewing the statement of comparison of revenues and expenditures for the general budget for 2023, the pattern of distributing expenditures according to sectors, and the statement of comparison of expenses and revenues for the central departments, stressing that benefiting from the budget for 2023 is in several vital sectors that got the attention of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member of and Ruler of Sharjah.
The Committee members presented a number of insights about the figures contained therein, whether in revenues and expenditures.
