Sharjah 24: Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Director General of Sharjah's Department of e-Government, said: "On Commemoration Day, we remember the brave men and women who died defending the principles and ideals taught to us by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, the country's founding father."
"On this day of remembrance, let us remember the courageous troops who answered the call to serve their country and whose sacrifices set the example for everyone to follow," he continued.
His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, once said, "The homeland is formed through the support and sacrifices of its people."
"Victorious martyrs, may you always be an inspiration to the people of the nation to make the ultimate sacrifice so that their flag may fly high above their nation." He concluded.
