Sharjah 24: His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, expressed that the Commemoration Day, celebrated annually on November 30, is a day to honour those who selflessly gave their lives for the advancement and defence of the nation.
He stated, "We remember the men who did not hesitate to sacrifice everything, their lives and possessions, for the sake of the nation's progress. Their names are written in letters of light in the record of heroes, forever remembered for raising the UAE's flag."

In his statement marking the Commemoration Day, His Highness emphasised that the UAE has always prioritised the well-being of its citizens and residents, providing them with security, safety, and a dignified life. He highlighted that the nation deeply appreciates those who make sacrifices for its growth and honour. The Commemoration Day, he said, is a testament to the UAE’s commitment to preserving the legacy of its heroes, honouring their sacrifices across all fields. These sacrifices are remembered with valor, as the martyrs' pure souls ascended to their Creator, and their families continue to receive support and care.

Sheikh Abdullah concluded by praying for the souls of the martyrs: "May God have mercy on those who gave their lives for the homeland in all fields of service. We ask God Almighty to forgive them, accept them, and grant them eternal peace in His gardens, alongside the righteous and martyrs—what excellent companions they are."
