Al Zaabi said in an exclusive interview with "Sharjah 24" that the festivities kicked off with a national march on Sunday morning, with representatives from the Sharjah Police, the Sharjah Police Academy, the Sharjah Academy of Marine Sciences, and the Department of Social Services among those in attendance.
He went on to say that the festivities lasted into the night at the Beach Park, with a rowing competition, national dance performances featuring students from local schools, and a poetry event, among other things. Fireworks were sent off on the shore to round out the evening.
