Sharjah24: Mleiha, a town located in the Emirate of Sharjah, is set to lead a march through the area to commemorate UAE National Day and to celebrate the next generation who will be responsible for the future success of the nation.
On the 24th of November, Mleiha will wear its best garment for the National Day in its public park from 4:30 pm to 9:00 pm. The ceremony will start with a march led by military music, followed by the Harbia show that reflects the meanings of Emirati culture followed by various shows, participations of educational institutions in the region, and many competitions, prizes and raffles and games. The ceremony will witness the participation of educational institutions and the supervision of the Municipal Council Celebration Committee and the Municipality in the Mleiha area.
Mleihais known for blending history, nature and culture as part of its surroundings that date back to 300 years BC. It enriches the souls of the future that completes the greatness of the past and evokes the stories of the ancestors and their belonging to the land. This is for the grandchildren to hear the footsteps of history in order to turn them into a future where the UAE relies on its children to shape it.
On this occasion, His Excellency Khalid Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah National Day Celebrations Committee, said: “As we look forward to the bright future of the UAE in its next centenary by 2071, we are preparing for our celebrations in Mleihato start the second fifty years of the country. We rely on the extended history of the Emiratis on this land that turns history into a future and raises the status of those who live on its land that accommodates the nationals, residents and visitors, just as the hearts of its people is full with goodness and love for others.”
