Sharjah Ruler’s generous gift to farmers strengthens food security

Sharjah24: The Sharjah Department of Agriculture and Livestock (SDAL) has begun distributing authentic wheat seeds, gifted by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to farmers in the emirate, a step taken to support the cultivation of strategic commodities in the country and strengthen the food security system.

Dr. Engineer Khalifa Musabeh Ahmed Al Tunaiji, Chairman of SDAL, stated that His Higness’ precious gift is an essential link in adopting the best methods for producing the finest types of wheat through the distribution of authentic wheat strains, in addition to awareness campaigns on how to cultivate these crops optimally.

The farmers expressed profound gratitude to His Highness for his successive initiatives to support the emirare’s agriculture field and provide organic food crops.
