Sharjah24: Under the patronage of King Mohammed VI of Morocco, and His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, Marrakesh witnessed, on Friday evening, the launch of the activities of the 4th edition of the Moroccan Poetry Festival.
The cultural event is organised by the Department of Culture in Sharjah in cooperation with the Moroccan Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, over a period of 3 days, with the participation of more than 40 creative Moroccan poets, intellectuals and artists.
Abdullah bin Muhammad Al Owais, Chairman of the Department of Culture in Sharjah and several dignitaries attended the opening ceremony, during which he delivered a speech addressing the importance of such cultural events in strengthening relations between the intellectuals of the Arab world. Al Owais referred to the House of Poetry in Marrakesh and its active activities in Morocco.
He has further expressed his thanks to the Moroccan Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, for its fruitful cooperation, conveying the greetings His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah
