Sharjah 24: In implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) has completed a project to maintain and expand the roads of the Al Dhaid Camel Racecourse.
The works included the maintenance and upgrading of the roads surrounding the track, in addition to the expansion of the road and the construction of a new road that includes two lanes with a length of 8 km on each side, so that the new road becomes 4 lanes with a shoulder of the road with a total of 16 km.
Maintenance and rehabilitation works were also carried out on the external road linking from Al Dhaid Al Madam Street to Al Dhaid Camel Race Course, with a length of 3.2 km, to ensure smooth traffic and accommodate the largest number of vehicles on the sides of the track, in response to the requirements of sports clubs, and in preparation for races and festivals held in the Emirate.
