Sharjah 24: A delegation from the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA), headed by Abdulaziz Mohammed Al Jarwan, Director of the SRTA’s Transport Affairs, visited Brazil to learn about the Marcopolo factory, with the aim of evaluating and approving a model of the Volvo Paradiso bus, and reviewing its mechanism.
Al Jarwan stressed that the delegation’s participation came in light of the authority’s endeavours to get acquainted with the latest developments in the field of environmentally friendly transportation, to exchange international experiences, and benefiting from practical knowledge.
The visit also aimed to highlight the most prominent features of the mechanical bus and its carrying capacity, in addition to its suitability to the weather conditions in the country.
The visit witnessed the reception of His Excellency Ambassador Osmar Chohfi, President of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, to the Director of the SRTA’s Transport Affairs and the accompanying delegation at the chamber's headquarters.
The SRTA, through an integrated work team and extensive research studies, seeks to select qualitative mechanisms to supply the fleet of transport buses with batches of new buses with latest modern specifications.
