Sharjah24: The offices of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport (AASTMT) in Khor Fakkan played host to the ninth regular meeting of the Sharjah Regulatory Committee for Ports and Border Points in 2022.
In the course of this meeting, the committee examined the most recent enhancements and projects for the development of ports and border points at the level of the emirate, in accordance with the most comprehensive international practises and standards.

The meeting, which was led by Mohammed Ibrahim Al Raisi, Director of Ports and Border Points Affairs ( PBPA) , was held. The Chairman of the Regulatory Committee for Ports and Border Points in the Emirate of Sharjah discussed with the other members the modernization and standardisation of work methods as well as the development of the infrastructure at the border ports, with the goals of increasing their capacity, their human resource performance through specialised training, and the utilisation of the most cutting-edge international technologies. And the specialist equipment, in addition to the other essential components.

The committee chairman and members went on a tour of the academic facilities, during which they expressed their gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi, a member of the Supreme Council and the Ruler of Sharjah, for providing unending support and attentive care.
