300 candidates for Sharjah Children and Youth Parliament

Sharjah24: After a field tour of the Rubu' Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators, it targeted all primary and secondary schools, both public and private, for boys and girls in the Emirate of Sharjah. More than (300) male and female students applied to run for membership in the Sharjah Children and Youth Parliament, for the parliamentary session (2022-2024), under the slogan "A Quarter Century of Excellence in Parliamentary Work".
The field tour came as an effort by the Rubu’ Qarn towards achieving the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to establish the rules of shura and to nurture empowered generations with skills of dialogue within the framework of respect for opinion and other opinion, able to keep pace with life changes and share their constructive ideas.

"Rubu' Qarn" formed several committees from the employees of its institutions organising the Shura Programme, represented by (Sharjah Children, Sharjah Youth and the Sajaya Girls of Sharjah), to implement the field tour plan, which included the targeted schools scattered in various cities of the Emirate of Sharjah and the eastern and central regions, in addition to the centers of institutions Quarter Qarn, and Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services.

The nomination requests will close on Thursday evening, in preparation for the screening of candidacy applications, and the conduct of personal interviews for the candidates, which are scheduled to take place in early October.
