Bin Khadim: Dispatching 150 patients to Umrah within 5 years

Sharjah24: The Friends of Cancer Patients Association dispatched last Saturday 11 cases of cancer patients registered with it to perform Umrah, with the full support and sponsorship of the Sharjah Charity International, which covered all the expenses of Umrah pilgrims within the framework of coordination and cooperation between the two sides.
Abdullah Sultan Bin Khadim, Chief Executive Officer of Sharjah Charity International, said that the campaign includes a number of patients who were nominated by Friends of Cancer Patients Association Committee, after studying the case for them through the internal aid work team of the Society, pointing out that the association has been running Umrah campaigns and has been able during the past five years to dispatch of 150 patients.

Sawsan Jaafar, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Friends of Cancer Patients Association, said: “We thank Sharjah Charity International for their cooperation with us in achieving this goal.”

She added: "We call on the association's partners and supporters to donate for this initiative and other activities aimed at empowering patients and cultivating optimism in them as an essential part during the treatment phase to increase the chances of recovery, which rises in the patient whenever he accepts treatment with high spirits."
