By donating to the SCI's campaign through the Sharjah Volunteer Centre's platform (sssd-volunteer.shj.ae) or website (www.volunteers.ae) by Thursday, September 8, 2022, volunteers can help the organisation achieve its goals of providing emergency aid to women and children who have been affected by the disaster and making sure they have access to the food, medicine, and shelter they need to recover.
The SCI expects between 300 and 1,000 volunteers to help prepare relief packages for flood victims in Pakistan on the International Day of Charity, as part of the UAE and its people's solidarity with the Pakistani people in various crises and tragedies.
The "We are with you" campaign aims to send 10,000 urgent relief packages from the Emirate of Sharjah to those affected by the disaster in Pakistan, as stated by Abdullah Sultan bin Khadim, Executive Director of SCI. This is just one of many ongoing efforts made by the country to aid people in times of crisis.
Bin Khadim urged all sectors of society to help Pakistan recover from the devastating floods, which killed over 1,200 people (including 400 children), displaced over 33 million people, and destroyed infrastructure and property.
