Sharjah24: Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, Egypt hosted, on Monday, the launch of the eighteenth session of the Sharjah Narrative Forum and will last for two days in participation of 60 creators.
The opening ceremony was held at the Egyptian Opera House in Cairo, in the presence of His Excellency Abdullah Al Owais, Head of the Department of Culture in Sharjah, and Dr. Hisham Azmy, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Culture in Egypt, and a large number of Egyptian intellectuals, academics, and those interested in narrative writing.
The host of the opening ceremony, the Egyptian poet Hassan Amer, pointed to the great cultural role played by Sharjah at the Arab and international levels, as it is represented in many festivals, forums and other activities, explaining that the Emirate of Sharjah has become, through its cultural action, a cultural center for creators from every destination.
At the beginning of his speech, His Excellency Abdullah Al Owais stressed that the continuation of the cultural activities held under the umbrella of the partnership between the Ministry of Culture in Egypt and the Department of Culture in Sharjah in the UAE, enhances the process of joint cooperation, which resulted in the organization of many diverse literary and artistic activities.
