Sharjah24: His Excellency Abdullah Al Owais, Chairman of Sharjah Department of Culture (SDC) said that the Department of Culture in Sharjah organises cultural activities at the local and Arab levels in September 2021, adding that the activities will start at the beginning of next September with poetry readings at Al Hirah Literary Council in Sharjah on September 1st.

This will be followed on the 2nd of September by the sixth session of the Sharjah Cultural Honouring Forum (SCHF), where its activities will be held in Cairo, the Arab Republic of Egypt. On the seventh of the month, poetry readings are organised at the House of Poetry in Sharjah, and on the 13th of the month, a narration symposium is organised in the Emirates at the Culture Palace in Sharjah. Moreover, on September 15, Al Hirah Literary Council organises a symposium on the late poet Hadef Al-Dare’e.

The Kalba Literary Council will host a musical evening on September 16 for solo playing, while a literary dialogue session will be held in the Khorfakkan Literary Council on September 20, and the activities will continue with poetry readings in the House of Poetry. On September 28, Al Hirah Literary Council will also host poetry readings, and the activities of September 2021 will conclude with the 17th session of the Sharjah Narrative Forum.

His Excellency Abdullah Al Owais has highlighted the keenness of the Sharjah Department of Culture , to organise the cultural activity at the local and Arab levels, in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
