Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Narrative Forum concluded the seventeenth edition, entitled "The Sudanese Short Story: Issues and Visions", held in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, and included five main themes, which were discussed, over two days, by writers participating in the forum.
The closing ceremony was attended by Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Owais, Chairman of the Department of Culture in Sharjah, Professor Mohammed Ibrahim Al Qasir, Director of the Department of Cultural Affairs in the Department, and a number of Sudanese writers and intellectuals.

The second day of the forum tackled the third theme: "Features of Experimentation in the Contemporary Short Story". The Panel discussion included Amer Mohammed Ahmed, Izz El Din Mirghani, and Nader Al Samani while Jamal Muhammad Ibrahim moderated the session.

The fourth theme: "Cultural Reading of the New Narrative Text". The Panel discussion included academics: Dr. Neamat Karam Allah, Dr. Mahmoud Mohamed Hassan, Dr. Mohammed Mahdi Bushra, while Muhammad Al-Amin Mustafa moderated the session.


The fifth theme tackled "The Short Story and Social Media Platforms".  The Panel discussion included Emad Mohammed Babiker, Mohammed Al Khair Hamid, and Mansour Sweim, and the session was moderated by Saif Al Din Hassan.
