Sharjah24: Sharjah Taxi, a subsidiary of Sharjah Asset Management Company, the investment arm of the Government of Sharjah, honoured 10 distinguished drivers with the Traffic Safety Award for the year 2021, to encourage them and reduce traffic accidents on the roads, as well as educating them about safe driving. The award falls into three categories: gold, silver and bronze.
At the award ceremony, Khalid Al Kindi, Executive Director of Sharjah Taxi, said, "We are pleased to honor 10 distinguished drivers out of a total of 900 taxi drivers, in the Traffic Safety Award launched by Sharjah Taxi in the year 2021.
Al Kindi added: “We aim with this award to honor distinguished drivers according to specific criteria, which is that the driver travels a distance of more than 100,000 km during the year, without committing any accidents, whether caused or damaged, as well as not committing any traffic violation or complaint from customers”.
In turn, the honored drivers expressed their deep thanks and gratitude for this award, stressing their keenness to exert more effort and perseverance in performing their duties.
