At the beginning of the meeting, Major General Al Shamsi praised the great efforts made by the work teams based on the implementation of foreseeing laboratories and the accompanying various workshops and future scenarios that serve the performance and readiness of the security and police sector, in line with the UAE strategy to foresee the future, calling on the work teams to harness these experiences in practical reality which is reflected in enhancing the quality of life in the UAE community.
During the presentation, the Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police was briefed on the most important issues and future areas that were studied by the team of experts, and included 7 prospective areas, most notably the future of correctional and penal institutions and rehabilitation of inmates, the future of outsourcing or privatising government services, the future of work systems, the future of drug abuse and combating and rehabilitation of drug users, unconventional future crimes, future of transportation, and future of cybersecurity.
A number of new future initiatives and projects that aim to enhance the forward-looking vision in the field of future foreseeing, especially those that serve the security aspect, including the smart quantitative police project, future traffic integration, smart paths in light of the future work mentality, smart electronic patrols, and the future of the customer’s experience, and digital sustainable correctional penal institutions, were also addressed.
At the end of the meeting, the Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police stressed that organising these ambitious laboratories aims to develop various innovative and interactive security specialisations, and an unprecedented breakthrough in future foreseeing.
