Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed delivered a speech in which he said, "I stand proudly among you today to present to the world a batch of new scientists and intellectuals who others thought that they had finished their journey and that they put their journey to rest; yet I am confident that you realize that this is a new phase, a phase of the giving journey, based this time on knowledge and insight with which you serve your institutions from which you came or to which you will go."
The President of the University addressed the graduates, indicating how crucial their roles in disseminating, urging them to seek more knowledge and help their colleagues. "Let me ask you to move forward and share what you have obtained from your various specializations. Publish your thesis in journals, give lectures and training workshops, spread the great importance of postgraduate studies among your colleagues, and urge them to seek knowledge, so that you will have paid your debt." Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed said.
The Deputy Ruler congratulated the graduates and their families for their role in supporting them in their journey. "Your countries think high of you today because you will continue the journey of achievements, preserving what you gain, under the most sincere leadership." Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed quoted, concluding his speech.
Dr. Hamid Majoul Al Nuaimi, The Chancellor of UoS, gave a speech in which he expressed his appreciation to Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi for his continuous support and patronage of the graduation ceremony.
The Chancellor addressed the success of the goals set by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member, Ruler of Sharjah, and Founder of the University of Sharjah, to qualify cadres with higher academic degrees in various academic majors and plan for expanding the University's educational programmes. As a result, the University of Sharjah has assumed a significant position among universities in offering higher degree programmes at the state level, as the number of programs reached 68 programmes, and the number of graduate students to 3000 students.
Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed presented the graduates with their certificates, as the number of graduates reached 441 students.
The graduation ceremony was attended by: Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director General of Sharjah Department of Districts and Villages Affairs, Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah bin Salem Al Qasimi, Director of the Department of Statistics and Community Development, several senior officials of government entities, and members of the University's Board of Trustees.
Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah, witnessed this morning, Wednesday, the graduation ceremony of the University of Sharjah's graduate students at the University City Hall.
