Sharjah 24: Dr. Hosni Sha’alan, Head of the Physiotherapy Department at the Sharjah Social Services Department, stated that the Elderly Services Centre located on Mleiha Al Dhaid Street provides free of charge physiotherapy services for the elderly who are registered with the Department.
Sha’alan added, in an exclusive statement to “Sharjah 24”: The physiotherapy service is provided based on the diagnosis coming from the department’s doctor or an external doctor, and accordingly, the patient’s condition is evaluated and the treatment plan is developed over the number of sessions the person needs.”
He pointed out that the centre also receives external cases from citizens over 60 years of age free of charge services, while the remaining cases of citizens or residents under 60 years of age are provided with services, but for a nominal sum determined by the Sharjah Executive Council.
