Sharjah24: Sharjah Documentation and Archives Authority (SDAA) honored the Department of Public Works in Sharjah (SDPW) , as it is among the best 9 departments in the emirate in applying the document management system adopted in the past years in several government departments, which includes tables of retention periods and classification system for documents.
This came within the framework of the department’s interest in implementing a modern document management system in accordance with the National Records and Archives Law, and with the aim of achieving its national goals, which include preserving the emirate’s history and preserving it for future generations.
Maryam Al Mazmi, Director of the Institutional Communication Center at the Sharjah Public Works Department, appreciated the cadres working in the center for their continuous work in achieving the department and its transition as the best 9 departments in the Government of Sharjah by implementing the system, emphasizing these efforts have been integrated between the center and the department to preserve these archival documents, which are an important resource of information and data resources, and therefore joint work after the launch of the government archive project to take all measures in order to preserve and protect them.
